Editorial & Disclosure

Second Home Visa Indonesia (secondhomevisaindonesia.com) is an independent editorial guide. We are not the Government of Indonesia, not the Directorate General of Immigration (Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi), not a law firm, and not licensed immigration, legal, tax, or financial advisers. We do not issue visas, file applications, or take payments for visa processing.

Not a government website

Official Second Home Visa information is published by the Directorate General of Immigration and the e-Visa portal (evisa.imigrasi.go.id). Always verify rules, the deposit amount, and procedures at official sources before acting.

Information, not advice

Everything we publish is general editorial information for research. It is not immigration, legal, tax, or investment advice, never recommends a specific transaction, and never promises visa approval, permanent residency, or processing times. Eligibility is case-by-case and regulations change.

Figures are date-stamped and may change

The IDR 2,000,000,000 deposit (~USD 120,000–130,000) is set in IDR and exposed to exchange-rate movement, and the property-equivalent route (~USD 1,000,000) appears more in practitioner guidance than in the 2022 Circular text. We date-stamp figures and flag unverified ones; treat every figure as “last verified June 2026” and re-confirm at the source.

No work rights

The Second Home Visa is a non-working visa. Taking local employment or running a local-market business on it (for example, operating a villa rental) can lead to fines, deportation, and tax investigation. Those who intend to work or run a business should look at an Investor KITAS or Golden Visa route.

How we are funded

Reading this site is free. No one can pay to change what we publish; if you use our free help and proceed with a vetted independent immigration or legal partner we introduce, that partner may pay us a referral fee at no extra cost to you. Referral arrangements never influence what we publish.

Tax & risk

Immigration status and tax status are separate; Indonesia applies a 183-day residency test. Maintaining the deposit or qualifying property is a condition of the visa. Get licensed Indonesian and home-country professional advice before relocating assets or applying.
